1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using AssetJay ("the Service"), operated by AssetJay ("we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

AssetJay is a cloud-based IT asset management platform that helps small businesses track hardware, software licenses, and equipment assignments. The Service includes features such as asset tracking, receipt storage, employee offboarding checklists, QR code label generation, and CSV imports.

3. Accounts & Registration

To use the Service you must create an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

You must be at least 18 years old or have the legal authority to enter into this agreement on behalf of your organization.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service without written consent
• Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the Service beyond the provided API

5. Your Data

You retain all rights to the data you upload to the Service ("Your Data"). You grant us a limited license to host, store, and process Your Data solely to provide and improve the Service. We will not sell Your Data to third parties. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle your information.

6. Subscriptions & Payment

AssetJay offers a free tier and paid subscription plans. Paid plans are billed monthly through Stripe. By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not provide refunds for partial billing periods.

We reserve the right to change pricing with at least 30 days' notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, logos, and documentation, is owned by AssetJay and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks, branding, or proprietary technology.

8. Service Availability & Modifications

We strive to keep the Service available and reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of material changes in advance.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AssetJay and its officers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason with reasonable notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. You may request an export of Your Data within 30 days of termination.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Norway, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
